What can I expect as a student when I come to Woodstock Road Baptist Church?

Our desire at Woody Road is to integrate students fully into the life of the church rather than treat them as a separate group. As a church, we are a mixed group of different ages and backgrounds and we want students to be right at the heart of that. Students often get involved with serving in the church and are encouraged to join homegroups where we encourage each other and study the Bible together. Many students have really appreciated the chance to get to know Christians in Oxford outside the student bubble.

During the coming year, however, we will be meeting together as a group of students after the evening service on alternate Sundays during term time. We will enjoy food together (often pizza!), spend time praying for one another and will think about how knowing Jesus makes a difference to life as a student in Oxford. This term (Michaelmas 2017) we will be meeting on Sundays at the start of even weeks of term* and will be looking at how our identity in Christ impacts our life as students, and how, as Christians, we can approach the ever-present challenge of busyness.

For more information or if you have any questions, please speak to Elita or Tom. We hope to see you there!
